GQ magazine calls Bible 'foolish,' lists it among books 'you don't have to read'
statesman.com
The Bible finds itself in the company of works by J.D. Salinger, Mark Twain and Ernest Hemingway on the list of books that GQ is just not that into.
NONE of the books is "required" reading. But for GQ to soundly trash the classics is, well, childish, and arrogant. And the recommended replacements are ridiculous. I am willing to bet that the "critics" making these pronunciations has never read any of them. I don't take advice from shallow self-absorbed misogynists
From my experience most evangelicals have not read it. They just believe what their pastor tells them is in the Bible. So, the Bible is not required reading.
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” I Corinthians 1:18 Everybody has a choice
Well, you don't have to read it. I wonder how many people will be reading GQ, in 3,000 years?
So they denigrate both Judaism and Christianity? Dreadful religious bigotry.
The Bible is also fake. Can’t believe in something written by man that has no evidence to back it up.
GQ = fools
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT...beyond looks and all that is superficial...HUMAN BEINGS HAVE A SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY AND NEED REPENTANCE AND A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST. GQ is opinion...God is power for living through His word.🔥
The New Testament is a great read. I wish “Christians” read it. “Love your Neighbor”.
GQ has been cancelled.
Actions speak louder then words... the Bible is null and void as the people that claim to read it don’t do what it says... if it’s so powerful then do what it says
When you see stuff like this in the Liberal Media, you realize they all worship and pray to Satan, they are all sick evil Satanic Monsters attempting to defile Almighty God, and worship themselves and the Devil himself.
Has anyone ever since this claim has existed been able to provide any evidence to back up this claim of a god existing? Short answer no.
Wow I remember when the Beatles stated they were Bigger than Jesus. The uproar was crushing .
They aren't wrong about that nonsense book
Where is Matt Dillahunty when we need him LOL
Did GQ criticized the Quran? Didn't think so.
It’s got some great foreshadowing about Israelis murdering people
We already know how it ends...
The OT has some vivid us stuff but Christians are told that JC is a new covenant. Too bad many have not read the actual book.
And before Jesus Christ returns the world will become More Evil than the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, men/women will engage in rape, pedophilia, homosexuality, murder, bestiality, incest, and all sorts of other sick evil behaviors. Men/Women will become lovers of themselves and they will Worship the Devil and turn their backs on Almighty God. RIGHT will become WRONG and WRONG will become Right! How will yee know the Devil when you see him? Satan will be seen by his desires for sick, evil, perverted behavior and you will know the Devil from his pedophilia, HOMOSEXUALITY, incest, bestiality, rape, murder and all the other evil sins and perversions of the World. For a time this evilness will be rampant, just like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, and it will seem like Almighty God has been defeated by the Devil and Evilness! However, just as in the times of Sodom and Gomorrah, Jesus Christ and Almighty God will return and throw all the evil SODOMITES into hell for eternity! Thus is the word of Almighty God! When you go WITH Pedophilia, HOMOSEXUALITY, and all the other evil, perverted sins you go DIRECTLY AGAINST Almighty God!!! The Devil Worship scum at GQ will indeed spend eternity in Hell if they do not STOP and refrain from their evil Devil Worshiping Ways! Only an EVIL FOOL mocks ALMIGHTY GOD!!!
You see it every day the liberal media wants sin, evilness, perversion, for people to denounce Almighty God. These evil Satanic people constantly promote and endorse, rape, murder, homosexuality, pedophilia, incest, bestiality, and all the other sick, evil, sins, and perversions! They are lovers of themselves and the Devil, and they hate what is Holy and Good. You can always spot the Devil by his evil desires and his never ending quest for sin and perversion!!!!
Wish muslims wouldn't read the Quran. Im tired of all the child rapes and murders of non believers.

April showers bring fall flowers. The Univeristy has been working to keep landscaping around campus in great shape.
Fall flowers? I thought the saying goes "April showers bring May flowers". No?
Splendor for our majestic landscape! Thank you for your attentiveness in maintaining the campus gardens!
All UT campuses display beautiful landscapes using many native plants. The plants at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio cheer me when I must see the doctor. Thank you!
And it’s a lot of hard work! So from one gardener to another, Thank You!!
Sooo beautiful.. just in time for graduation. Can’t wait to see them next month!
Always loved the flowers back during my days on main campus...but always thought it odd that they seemed to change out the beds way before the current planting was "done".
Always Beautifully landscaped! Thanks for all your hard work!🤘🏽
I like all mintained very beautiful
Always beautiful! Thank you!
