How did you spend winter break? Dr. Smatresk spent it in Chile discussing a research facility soon to be built in Puerto Williams. The new Sub-Antarctic Cape Horn Center will be part of the Sub-Antarctic Biocultural Conservation Program, a consortium led by UNT and Chilean universities and institutions. UNT professor and program director Ricardo Rozzi said this opportunity will “strengthen the social mission and research excellence” of the program. The Cape Horn center will promote sustainable development in the area and include a visitor center where tourists can learn about the biodiversity of Cape Horn. The center further promotes UNT’s commitment to biodiversity and efforts to develop sustainable practices around the world. Learn more: bit.ly/2Fer9YU

How about you already pay for it in your tuition so why not?

My advisors all led me astray of my degree. I finished my degree by following the audit instead 😅
